Look into Pro Tools also. They build pretty much the same thing, and I have found that more people carry the dies. I can get them within about a day, and I have been more impressed with ProTools service and ship time. Do some comparisons and see which would be best for you. ProTools is in FL though, so it might be more in shipping, as I don't remember where JD2 is.

JD2 is also out of FL. I live in Ga and have always gotten stuff from them very quickly. There customer service is great too.

what about there standup bender similar to the JD2 bender....its 139 with dies....only thing i noticed was it says solid tube and pipe.

it will only bend solid tube and pipe.

i have one of the cheap harbor freight benders, they do work, they are not nearly as nice as the others but for the money it works fine for me. i made upper and lower control arms and bag mounts with it and a tubular bridge. i only use dom tubing and as long as it is a thick wall you wont have a problem with kinking up to 90%. after 90% depending on how tight the bend you are making it will try and wrap over the edge of the die and kink. depends on wether you want to spend the money on a more expensive one i got mine on sale for 70 bucks so you cant beat it for that price.

Well I'm sure there are other sizes, but thats all I can buy locally, thats all I have heard of. I don't really know much about pipe because I don't use it.

you cant even get seamed tubing here.. you call and ask for mild steel tubing, not dom and not pipe and the steel yards just look at you like you asked for a time continueum. you can get dom or sch40 or 80 pipe. oh well

Not all steel tube is DOM. DOM is just seamless. You can also get welded seam tubing. Pipe is Schd.40 or Schd.80.

DOM is welded. the weldflash is removed both internally and externally.

I have to drive a long way to bet tube or DOM. I can only get pipe close by.
