I run relays for my compressors and a buddy said no use solenoids i was wondering what else does everyone use and any pros or cons.

the solenoids work pretty good for multiple compressors. but they get stuck sometimes.

Basically the same thing if i remember correctly. Solendiods are suited for more current and more durable though. thats what I use.

I like both....but I have always used relays on my stuff. Just make sure you mount them in a dry area.

The Viair dual packs come with 40 amp relays, and they seem to hold up well. We've always sold and recommended industrial grade solenoids (NOT Ford starter solenoids!) that are rated for continuous duty, but either way should work unless you're running a big pump. Good luck!

a place near me sells 100% duty industrial solenoids used for running electronics on ambulances and they seem to be really durable. couple people been running them for a few years and haven't had any problems from them.

I have always used stinger solenoids in my stuff and in anything i have done for other people, never had a single problem.
