Yes I know, there's other threads on this. If you don't have anything helpful to say, don't waste your time.

Anyway, for anyone whose running a Vette booster, first of all- do you loose braking performance? Also do you use your factory M/C or a the Vette M/C?

Looked thru the previous threads but nothing too helpful came up.

Thanks

I've got a single diaphram 7" hot rod booster off of ebay. It worked w/the stock m/c but braking performance sucks. Probably gonna change to a dual this winter.

Yeah it's my daily so it's gotta have good brakes. And i know a hydrobooster would be best but damn they're ugly, and they clutter things up too

This is a 7" dual diaphram pro valve setup.

Would it provide good braking power?

Also is there a big difference between the way the push rod hooks to the pedal and the way it mounts to the firewall between the one shown and a stock S10?

Thanks if anyone knows

i've swapped over about 5 of those on GM vehicles (s10/fullsize) and i measure the length, and cut off the end on the stock booster, and weld it to the end of the chrome booster.... the stock ends are hoop, and im guessing the chrome ones would use some sort of clevis or something, but it isnt supplied, so i do it the easy way...

Thanks cris, thats what i figured i'd have to do. Simple enough.

How well did the brakes work on those trucks you put the boosters on?

they work ok, but not as good as stock... they were all single diaphragm though, i put a dual diaphragm on my truck, and the MS for dual disks, so we'll see how that works... my buddy put a dual on his truck, and seemed to work pretty good, he had 4 wheel disks too... all of these were from MBM brakes....

Thanks Cris.

No one else has any experience with smaller boosters on S10's??

So no one has used a 7" dual diaphram booster like above on an S10 before?!
