so im getting ready to bust out the paint skills on some guitars i have. my yamaha bass is going to be done up like a P51 mustang. silver body with panel edges, rivets, ports, stuff like that. some red/yellow stripes. numbers, warnings, symbols, ect. the neck will be painted in olive drab and the face of the head yellow with some numbers or something. probably have a checkered area on the body somewhere. some old school or modded knobs and hardware. no strap. probably like stars or something for the fret dots.

my fender is going cheap and sleazy. cheetah/leopard print fabric contact paper (from the asian dollar store) on the pick guard. and some random colored faux fur for the body. call it a day. haha.

what i dont have any ideas for is my bc rich mockingbird. its red, has alot of vinyl stickers on it. 6x1 headstock. not the 3x2. i dont care if i do a color change, its been apart many times. good shape. but whatever. what would be cool? marble, stripes, stars, pinstripes, i dont have anything i would love to do to it. pictures or ideas. hell, a crayon scribble on a napkin would help. haha, ideas....?

I had my Fernandes Tremor 5 Unibody sprayed with a Chevy pewter. Then cleared with black and pearl mixed in. It turned out pretty cool. But I've always liked single color paint jobs...

i did one for a guy a few years ago that was solid silver flake on the front and maroon on the back then i masked off some stars and faded in a darker maroon around the edge gave it kinda a ghost fade effect looked pretty cool and the front would blind you if you took it outside in the light
