is it just me or does anyone else treat christmas eve as just another day... i remember as a wee lad, having been out of school for like a week already, not being able to sleep a wink as christmas morning approached, no, not because i was waiting for santa, or to celebrate jesus' birth, but to open some sweet presents.... after maybe getting a total of an hour of sleep, 6am comes around, and i and other children in the house wake up everyone, then wait by the tree in the upmost of impatience, for near minutes will pass before paper is to start flying.... then as the morning starts to progress, breakfast gets cooked, but i havent the slightest bit of hunger, only yearning for more gifts to show up as more relatives come bearing the aforementioned gifts.... but by about 14-15, the feeling slowly drifted away, by 17-18 i didnt really care about it, just enjoyed seeing some of my family that i dont get to see often.... now, at the ripe old age of 24, all i look forward to is the fact that i get a day of work off.... my family only gets together for like 2-3 hours now, what little that does show up... so basically is it just me or do others hate christmas?
i guess i need to find a suitable mate to bear my children, hopefully that will bring my childhood and love of presents back to life!
