01 ranger where are the door pins

When I close my doors on my extra cab the door ajar light stays on for a minute after the doors are open, but when I arm my alarm it beeps like the door is still open until the light goes out then it arms up like normal. I was just wondering where the door pin is so I can see if it is working when the door is closed? Thanks for the help

there aren't any door pin's. There built into the latch in the door. To avoid the door trigger error alert. Go into your programming on your alarm and set it to bypass your delayed dome light. You also need to double diode isolate your door triggers if it has the GEM module, so it won't go off every hr. all night long, because the gem module wakes up and pulses the door triggers and will trip the alarm.

no it prolly the wire harness came unhooked man check that its the thang outside the door it powers the window and it will make the door ajar light stay on....had that jus happen to my sis. ford suv...

it is a common problem with for rangers

you can also use the domelight supervision wire instead of doorpins...it should be black with a blue stripe

theres a sensor that goes bad often, they sell it at oreillys its like $5 in the "help" section
