I've got a 2000 F250 7.3 Powerstroke that has a coolant leak. Over the last few days when I go out in the morning there is a puddle and when I drive it to my shop its not leaking anymore. It Looks to be coming from the front of the waterpump but I havent had a chance to lay in antifreeze and crawl up in it to find out. This is one of the hardest waterpumps to cahnge so I'm asking if anyone else has had this problem and what it was.

Had the same problem and it was the pump. Took only about an hour to change though....

yea had one of these go out on mine too, not too bad of a job to replace it

Yeah I just replace it a few weeks ago and it wasnt too bad after I got the fan clutch off. I was thinking of another diesel I did a pump on when I said it was a hard one to replace. The fan clutch took me an hour to break loose.

check out thedieselstop.com it's a good powerjoke website, and it should have some "diy" threads on your very problem. It never hurts having a walkthrough. hope you get it fixed up man.
