get a PAC-TR7 and read the alpine bypass on the directions and hook it up that way. They usually run around 40 bucks

I have a JVC all you do is just ground the wire that is supposed to go to the ebrake. Thats how mine is hooked up and it works perfect.

i had to do it mike's way with my clarion, i tried just grounding it and it did'nt work, kinda sucks, everytime i start the car i have to flip the switch on and off, course i have the switch hid, so if i get pulled over "No, officer, i can't watch it while driving (flick)"..lol

ypu can put it on a relay and have the relay powered by your remote turn on wire so everytime u turn your car on it will work and will shut off when you turn the car off and you wont have to remember to hit a switch bc youll know youll forget and kill your battery

no the switch has nothing to do with power its ground i hooked mine up that way so i can shut it off if i get pulled over

he means have a relay triggered by the ignition (red wire one the radio) that makes a ground connection for the green wire, so the head unit "sees" the ground everytime. Its just a hassle free way, but i prefer the switch myself..."officer, my video does even work"
