okay, so there is a 93 toyota std cab in the junkyard. grey interior. and it has carpet, not a floor mat! but, its missing the glass on one door, and the door on the other door. so the carpet is soaked. looked in good shape though. i could get it for like 10 bucks probably. so, on a toyota, is there any of that dryer lint padding under the carpet or anything like that? it didnt look moldy, but it probably is and probably stinks bad.

so, how would i go about cleaning it and making it not stink (if it does)? ill get it if anybody thinks i can salvage it.

i might just be the man to help you i clean carpet for a living and my advide would be get a carpet cleaning company to do it. the carpet is gonna need to be dryed real good then cleand and then a treatment of meldaside to kill the mold that it mostlikly has from being wet and they can also deoderize it to if there is a company that steam cleans go with them if you have a choice hope i was helpfull

Wouldn't it be just more worth it after all the cleaning to buy new carpet. Aren't they under $100.

i was thinking along the lines of hang it out to dry. then baking soda the hell out of it. vaccum that up. then use my grandpas steam cleaner. would that be enough? if its more than cheap to clean ill just wait and order new stuff in black.

well to be honest steam cleaning it would prolly be about 100 so buying new would prolly be better
