Been away from air suspension for a while ....... whats the good stuff?

OK, so for a while now, ive only delt with hydraulic suspension on my own vehicle, so i thats pretty much what i only focused on for the last while...

I find myself in the position now, that i think im going to put air on my new ram, and im just curious as to what is the up-to-date good stuff lol Its been so long, that ive mised out on alot of probable good air products, and anytime customers wated air at the shop, i allways handed it over to riche, just because i wasnt as uptodate on the new stuff....

so with that said...


Compressors....
Whats the story on the air zenith compressors, ive heard alot of rumors about them being junkish...and having alot of issues, i never really got any real info on them, so what does everyone think of them?

or are Viar still a good choice?

Ive used slams in the past....and i loved them, we choose them quite a bit on customers vehicles. Hows everyones luck been with them?

How about the new airlift dominator bag? any good?

The old school firestones have allways done me right in the past....are they still the reliable choice?


Ive got my valves chosen allready, so im not too worried about that, im mainly curious as to what the new info is on compressors these days and bags.

viair comps and slam bags......

i burned up 2 az and got a brand new on in the box thats got a recall on it. go with viair on th comp. i got firestone bags and have not ever had a prob with them. but u slams are good to

slams all the way... i have burned up 2 viair compressors and their warrantys suck..

i would say engine driven with a backup of either a bottle or electric.

i have had firestones on my ride for 5 years.Viar compressor has never let me down either.
i have always had manual valves but recently switched to electric,i love the parker valves too.
tim what size tank are you tryin to fill with your comps?

viair for the compressor for sure, mine just went out on me it lasted me 5 years. firestones are reliable bag but ballon out some and less lift. i have slams r7s in the front of my ride for the past 2 years with no problems. i had r6s for the other 3years and i had a small crack where the fitting goes into but i think thats because i was switch happy and hopping my truck alot. last thing i suggest is copper line...

i really like the viair 400s.... all ive used for like 3 years now is slam bags.... i did like my edc kit from airlift when i was drivin my truck every day....

mine was a 450 with 3/8 copper line and a different check valve on it.
