weld in bungs

Where can I find weld in steel NPT bungs? I dont have access to a lathe so thats not exactly an option. I have tried using a cast steel union from home depot, but I've found thats its a pain in the ass to get sealed up, im guessing since it is cast.

I also know Joel of Mindliss Metal sells them in mild steel and stainless.

summit racing sells them for 2.50 each. we used them on the airframe we built and they worked excellent.

Any of the race shops would be able to get them, Summit, Jeg's, etc.

Check you local Big Rig shops, a place by carries parts and makes Leaf packs sells them. I think i payed like 1.05 for 3/8 and like 1.15 for 1/2.

Pipe or welding supply such as IPS or Redman. Ask for 1/2 couplings in whatever size your looking for.

yea what above said, we get stainless, aluminum and mild steel weld fittings from a place here called pvf supply... just ask for either pipe weld fittings or pipe couplings...
