I just bagged my 83 c-10 today. We installed RE6's and a set of brackets from Lowrider Depot, and its not even approaching low (crossmember is 4-5 inches from the ground).

We just installed the stuff today so I really haven't had a chance to look at it much, but it I was wondering if anyone had any ideas for getting it lower. It looked like the bags bump stops are holding it up, so should I shorten the cups?

I know I need spindles, but I doubt that would even get the cross member on the ground.

My friend had to cut his cups down about 1.5" to lay out. He had drop spindles, and KP brackets.

I made my own brackets up front and cut down some cups to about 3/4" tall. I have stock spindals and i'm layin a arms. Cutting down the cups will help alot. I had to notch my lower a arms so the bags wouldn't rub though

We cut the cups on the truck over the weekend, and the crossmember/control arms are still a good 2 inches from laying out.

I am not really sure plating the lower arm would help much. The bottom of my bag looks like it would be below that plate, since we cut the cup way down.

My truck is inline 6, anyone know if this would make a difference?

If its not snowing tnite, I'll try and take some pictures of it and post what we got going on.

i would say the cups would need to be cut. or just go ahead and Z it! also try n remove the bump stops as well.
