Ok...so I was able to get some more time in on my bro's mazda. We took out the torsion bars and sway bar...cut out the bump stop mount. Problem now is that when you drop it all the way down the lower control arm binds on the crossmember before it gets to the ground...What have you guys done to get it down further? At this point we're looking into buying some drop spindles...that should get the crossmember on teh ground. The next question though...what does it take to lay frame...what mods can be done to get the crossmember out of the way so the frame lays out? Any help would be awesome. Thanks!

you just have to trim the lower control arms to clear where they hit on the frame, there is another thread in the mazda section with pics that someone posted just the other day.

And the corssmember only hangs down about 1/2 inch lower than the frame, you just need to spend a little time with the concrete file to get them even. Otherwise your only option is to z, and thats an awful lot of work for just 1/2 inch.

lol yeah 1/2" is about all it is...I just didnt know if there was an easier solution that z'ing it...definately not doing that for 1/2"...if anything I'll just body drop it to cover up the fact that the frame doesnt lay out. I'm sure it will see the concrete file a time or 2 though
