I Have No Idea No More What It Is, Well I Have A Chevy 2004 Silverado 1500 ExtCab, And I Hear A Rubbing Grinding Noise Or Something Cant Really Describe It, when I take Off Or Start Slowing Down To A Stop Or Sometimes While Driving At low Speeds, And U Can Only Hear It Inside The Cab And Its Towards The Back Off The Truck I Alreadychange The Joints On The Drive Shaft And Nothing Still Makes The Noise, Any Ideas Please Will Help, Thanks.

I Dont Think Its My Pinion Angle It Just Started Making This Noise About A Week Ago And When It Did I Checked It Out Something Smell Like Burn Or Something In The Back.

Sounds like your ring and pinion is going out. If you know how to check your backlash, do that. Or take it to a shop that specializes in rearends.

is there fluid coming from around the pinion seal? thats the seal that is behind the yoke on the rear end where the driveshaft bolts up... i have seen alot of trucks that have the seals worn out quick by bad pinion angle.... that might account for your burning smell... or the driveshaft could be pushed into your tranny, that would make the sound, and the smell....
