i am thinking of doing something different with my truck so i am asking here to see if anyone would want to buy my rear end. it is a tacoma axle narrowed 4.5 inches and has strange engineering axles, prescision gear ring and pinion 4.11 gears and a detroit true trac limited slip, slotted and cross drilled disc brakes. all bearings and seals were replaced when i had the axle built. this axle has been under my truck for almost 3 years and i only have about 4,000 miles on it. this axle will fit 89-95 toyota pickups and i believe is about 2inches narrower than the 89-95 rear axle and will fit the 95-2004 tacomas and is 4.5inches narrower than the stock tacoma axle. this axle with disc brakes cost me over $3,000 to build. i am willing to sell it for $1000

sorry i dont have any pictures of the axle out of the truck. it is still currently under my truck. i am doing something a little different with some new wheels and instead of chopping this axle again i figured somebody would want it. as you can see in the last pic this axle allows for a fairly wide wheel and tire. those are a race wheel, 17x12 CCWs and they fit fine. if i had a narrower frame i suppose you could fit an even wider wheel and have more offset to the wheel and a wider lip.

i can measure it... dont remember off hand

a stock taco is 60", so 55.5" plus or minus an 1/8" depending on what the brake rotor added or took away from the width with the drum....

taking off the drum and replacing with the rotor didn't affect the width. the width of the rotor is equal to the width of the drum and its BS that it entailed. so if you are correct it should be 55.5 then. i cant measure it untill tomorrow but i will definetely get a definite measurement for you guys.
