Has anyone else had any issues with these recently? Ive always used the Autoloc latches and they have always been good but recently we had problems with some and after checking the other ones we had sitting on the shelf we found that all of them except for 2 were playing up.They seem to be very sensitive to any sort of movement, ususally you can close them and shake them as hard as you can in your hand and they stay closed but this batch i have here seem to pop open with the slightest movement. Anyone else had this issue?

mine will do it if I move the locking slider to the lock position, try to open the latch and then unlock it. That is the only way I can wiggle mine open. Kind of messed up i guess, but the power locking actuators should hold them in the locking position.

sounds dangerous.......I'd hate to be cruis'n down the highway and have my door pop open and the wind rip it off

Yeah thats what happened to a customer of ours over the xmas break. We finished doing a suicide door conversion on his truck and hooked up an AVS popper kit with the Autoloc latches and within the first few kms of it heading off down the road the latches were popping open. Luckily they were only popping open half way at first so the doors werent opening rite up. The customer then rang us and told us what was happening, we told him to grab some of those small bungy cords and bungy the doors shut from the inside and get the truck back to us to take a look at. Unfortunatley before he got the doors tied back the drivers door latch let go again and this time flew wide open and wrapped around the damn cab causing what looked like a shit load of damage. Once we took the door off and inspected the damage it turned out that the force of the door had twisted the new door jamb in the b pillar which at first looked like a major to fix but with some bracing and a hydraulic ram it was actually an easy fix. The door itself was 100% fine, hadnt even cracked the paint. End of the day it still cost me money and time all due to what seems to be a faulty batch of latches.
