so i just picked up a 93 gmc fill size thats bodydropped and when the rpm's are raised the alternator cuts into the of the hood, not the brace the sheet metal. does anyone know if they sell an alt. bracket that lowers it closer to the motor? (its a V8 305)

You could go a couple ways on this.
1. Look at a Alan Grove catalog and check out your options for altenator brackets.
2. Check with your local GM dealership about the dual altenator brackets GM offers that mount down low on the engine. They were originally made for police cars and ambulances that were equipped with tons of electronics that drew huge amounts of current. Goodluck, with your truck.

you can also use a smaler alt. like a nippendenso off a foreign car.i know a guy that uses one on his blazer that he drag races, its off a toyota corolla i think.
i had to relocate mine on my blazer and get a diff size belt.

i know with a 350 motor you can use camero belt package..and swap them and they widen and lower it all...
