when i set my truck down to the rockers, the front bumper wants to buckle...?? wtf? shouldnt it be level with the rockers? we Z'ed the frame horns when it was off, the horns are on the ground alittle bit when its laid out....any answers to this??? thanks!
thats a pic with it off, i dont have one with it on yet....yeah it flaked some paint off when i laid it out on the insides, and I cant get the bumper to line back up either with the fender body lines....? I probably shoulda z-ed it with the bumper left on there huh??? but I cant drag it, any other suggestions on how to fix it? just put a sander to it?
Any fender alignment issues? Not sure if you connected the frame horns solid to each other before you cut them off, they could have gotten out of alignment. Or if the cut on the horns isn't exactly perpendicular to the frame/body it could throw it off a bit because the horns will want to follow a crooked cut once dropped.
Gotcha. It seems to be as simple as that. Hard to say without a shot of the bumper on, the severity of it that is. Push comes to shove mark a line on the bottom of the bumper and cut off what ever amount.
maybe I can shim it up on the upper frame horn mounts? I didnt think about that.....but then that makes it closer to the fenders....damn...I'll figure something out tomorrow when I look at it, thanks man
i had that problem with my front bumper as well....like b said, cut it, drag it or section it. i was lucky with mine though, i am running the full face billet grille, so i just took a few bars out and moved my bumper up.
if being close to femder solves tthen raise it...on 99 up fullsizes u have to raise the bumper slightly to work right...like be said u might have brought the horns down just a lil to much...we did 1 with a stillen front bumper and it laid with out binding but it laid hard
