wondering what it would cost

I just got done shaving my buddies 4 door civic, all doors, trunk is smooth, no antenna, and i fixed a few dings. we wre just supposed to paint it black now, but all of a sudden he poped up with a frontend convertion and a 2 tone with graphics through the doors. We already did the money thing before the extra work, so i was wondering what you think its worth that i've got done, and what the front end and new paint should run.

if you dont have an idea on what to charge him, just make him pay you by the hour. Theres no telling how long it will take for a front end conversion. Custom stuff isnt cheep, so people are usually ready to pay.

i took 1000 to shave everthing and paint it black, he helped me out a long time ago with something to i was returning the favor. But then he just starts adding on shit and says he's gonna pay me more, but i haven't heard anything else about the money, and plus he's out of a job

money first man do it by the hr from this point on add just a little for the 2 tone, but the front end conversion do it by the hr and dont give the car back till he pays. Cause I have done friends favors many many times and lost many many friends. Money will make some peoples moms f them over.

Same here...lost 2k in materials plus the labor of a complete custom job on a 350Z. Dont give the car back until you see the money.

ive lost several friends that way. money up front is the only way to do it. it makes things easier in the long run

for a living, i do custom paint jobs but i do it in homes not cars. (if youre curious - peep my myspace for pics) get the money first or by the hour (and get him to pay you weekly!) i have a hard enough time getting a check to clear the bank from people who live in multi million dollar homes much less friends.
