My truck won't crank.

All of a sudden my truck won't start. When you turn the ignition on everything comes on, gauges, electric fans etc.... but when you turn the key over to crank it it won't do anything. I've changed battery cables ends, checked all my connections, charged battery, everything, if anyone could help...please help don't know what else to do.

you checked the starter connections? can you hear the starter click?

Could it be the starter?

also check the ignition module in the distributor my surburban did that and i changed all sorta shit b4 i figured it out...an entire distributor was only 100 bux

try tapping he starter with a hammer a few times. then try to crank it. if it starts it is the starter. but just becuase it wont start if u do that it could still be the starter

I checked starter connections and tapped the starter, but I think I'm gonna take it off and get it checked because it won't even engage and I have 12.6 volts of power.

ur first problem is that u got the junk 2.8 haha...u got a canada and mexico motor....but it might be the starter....make sure ur connection aint loose on the starter...might jus be frozin up jus spray it wt wd-40 and that will fix it....lata

Had the exact same proplem with my taco. Check your fuses and RELAYS. My problem was the FI relay but also had a fuse problem a couple months age. hope this helps

did you try the screw driver across the solenoid trick? If that truck turns over you've narrowed your problem.

first u need to have it watch this video





then u need to get under your truck with a big stick of some sort and give yoru starter some love taps.. and if that doesnt work try the ignition module .. the starter tapping usually works 60% of the time.. all the time
