Im getting into Mini Trucks now so i bought a 88 Ranger i want a cheap setup that will lay frame what do i need and i also heard that is ibeam what is that. lol im new at this so you may have to describe things to me

i beam is the front suspension. if you want a cheap setup, you should have gotten an s10. rangers take drop ibeams, radius arm relocators and a raised tranny xemeber to lay frame. lots of cutting to go over 18s. gravity-werx.com has the best front brackets IMO. and no there isnt any bolt ons.

Yea thats what everyone keeps telling me but i got the truck for 400.00 so i mean i couldnt pass it up i looked under the truck alittle while ago and seen the cross member so i was thinking i wonder if i could just body drop it for right now until i get the money to so all the cutting and all that to lay frame

In the end, the easiest way to lay out a ranger especially on big wheels and with a bodydrop would be to put an 84-85 toyota front clip on it and build a frame from the firewall back. Yes this is alot of work, but if you are going to bodydrop it anyways might as well ditch the horrible ibeam front suspension and put on a front suspension that will work better. if you are just going to bag it or do a traditional bodydrop, you could use the ibeams but you will still have the bad camber issues that all ibeam suspensions have.

well i just want it to lay 20's right now i mean i will do a body drop later on but i think im just going get the djm flip kit for the back with the drop ibeams for right now so if you all have any comments on the easiest way i can do it with this kit please let me know

The flip kit pieces will basically not be used if bagging on a link set-up. That would be for static drop only.

You are in over your head man. I hate to break it to you but you picked the wrong truck to try to do cheap, fast and easy.

If I were you I would get the beams and flip kit for now and just roll with a 3/4 static drop on the 20s. Once you learn some more and do some serious research you can decide if you are up to the task of laying one of those trucks out. If you do, you will still need the beams. the flip kit will be garbage since you'll be ditching the leaf springs when you bag it..
