so since your the MMFIC on toytoa's, got a question for you,
On my yota I raised the lower crossmember up 1 inch witch brought up the lower arms up 1 inch, how would you go about correcting the sterring??

what I did is replaced the ball joint with a hime and fliped it over to the bottom side of the spindle.
Is that right?
the reason Im asking is the sterring still does some crazy shit when I cycle the front all the way up, to all the way down.
also the front gets about 12/13 inches of lift....witch might even be the problem....
anyways what do you think????
thanks

I was going to ask,w hat is MMIFC? Lol. Its been answered. It takes time to answer though Steve, and try to find the diagram I wanted.

Anyways, without looking at it I can tell you a few things. 12-13 inches of travel is a lot, but you should be able to control the amount of toe in and out within that range. My truck does 11" and I have about 2.5 degrees of toe in laid out, and about 2 degrees toe out all the way up. I still have my alignment sheet somewhere too if you needs specs from it.

But, the issues that you are having are related to the alignment of the 6 pivot points on your front suspension. Max has a good diagram showing this, but I can't find it right now. So I made one in paint.

Basically all of the pivots on the spindle should be in a straight line, and same with the pivots on the frame. Also, the distance between the lower balljoint and the tie rode (or heim), should be the same distance as between the LCA bushing and the pivot on the steering. This is the first thing I would check. That heim may need to be spaced down, or the spacers you have now may need to be shaved down some to make it correct. That will probably be the fastest fix for this.

Your other option, would be to move the steering box and idler arm up the same amount the LCA pivot has been moved up. Either one will work just as well.
