Ok, I need some advice.

I am just a couple weeks away from putting my truck in the shop to get bagged. With all this money in front of me I am beginning to question the idea. Not the bags but bags on this truck. I have had a handfull of problems with the truck in the past.

I just put a manual transmission in that cost me over $1000. The transmission is kinda crappy and will have to be replaced along the way. All of the balljoints need to be replaced as well as tierod ends. The bed is completly shot. The engine was replaced years before I bought it so no idea how many miles are on it.

Basically should I just go for it? Bag it and take it as it comes or take my money a look for a new truck?

get it it good running / driving condition first! think about it this way, would you get new carpet and furniture before fixing the horribly leaking roof on your house?

MAN ,,,, THATS UP TO YOU !! IF YOU DO PLAN ON KEEPING IT , GO AHEAD AND HAVE THE SHOP THROUGH IN THE BALL JOINTS AND TIE RODS WHILE THERE DOING THE FRONT END WORK ! AND WHY DID YOU SPEND $1000.00 ON A CRAPY TRANY ??? HELL YOU COULD HAVE GOT A NEW ONE FOR THAT PRICE ?
BEDS ARE CHEAP !!

ID SAY CUT THE FOCKER UP ,, IT SOUNDS TO ME LIKE ITS ALREADY PAYED OFF !! SO ANY MONEY YOU THROUGH INTO IT GOES TO THE TRUCK AND NOT A BANK !! LOL
GOOD LUCK BRO ,,

I bought the tranny for $300 bucks from someone. He said it had a little whine in it. It cost me with the tranny over $1000 for all the parts for the conversion. Worst idea I ever thought of.

I say get all the other problems and possible problems out of the way first. Over the last month I've been getting everything together and was gonna start bagging my hardbody last weekend. Friday the motor I put in it about a year ago threw a rod. I haven't been this pissed about something in a long time. I'm sitting here with $1500 in parts that I can't use until I come up with another $1500 to get a motor put in it.
