well this may be a stupid question but here it goes...

So im dooring my 01 silverado and need a HD hood so i dont have to cut any holes in my hood. I found one for $125 but the lady cant confirm its the "HD" style. She doesnt have "the man power" to send someone out to look for me. Its 1.5-2 hours away. It is on a 2002 2500HD. Should i chance going to get it? Do all of the 02 silverado 2500HD have the HD style hood?

pretty sure that since its a 2500 you should be good, i think that some 1500's didnt have the HD style... not a 100% on this though

what room are you planning on gaining by adding an hd hood? what holes are you talkin about you dont want to cut? just curious because we did my bros 5.5" and thought we had to put a cowl on it?? thanks

here are some pictures of it on. my body drop is 5 1/4" and its basically door. with the supports cut out of the hood and the threaded dick thing that sticks out on top of the motor to hold the cover chopped down the HD hood fit right on. It is about 2" taller than a stock hood. here are a few pics...

i think that hd hood looks killer on it. everytime i pulled up next to one at a light i would kinda run it through my head whether or not itd fit my lil cousins 1500. thanks for helpin on that one!

yeah i love it. it looks mean. I just need to cut the front for the lights since i have a sierra front clip and it will be ready to go! They bolt right on and fit right on silverado's though.

do you have any pics of the top of your engine or engine bay. my purge valve sticks up in the middle of the motor, i was wondering if the motors looked the same
