Suede Headliner

Question for the interior guys! i'm gonna be doin my headliner in my Integra, and i wanted to do it in suede...Can i glue the suede right to the vinyl on the stock headliner or do i have to strip it off first? Thanks in advance! Nemo

strip it! when it gets humid outside the glue will release from the "oils" in the suede and the vinyl and cause it to sag or fall!

i cant do any fab or paint work but i have done my share of upholstery!

hows old is the car? if its fairly new, your fine with going right over it, but if its older strip it. also dont use the contact cement in the cans, it sucks. get somethind like dap weldwood contact adhesive.
