(is there another box some where the one i check had the radio fuse in it) that looks fine. hooked up a test light to the red wire and the black wire witch is the power and ground right? any help it's a 95 s-10.

the yellow wire is constant power, thats the fuse you might have blown. Check that one, no matter if the ignition is on or off the yellow wire is hot. Unless of course you blow the fuse. The red wire is the ignition wire and only gets hot when the ignition is on or in accessory. There are fuses in your dash and possibly under the hood. Check your manual to find out, if not check the fuse on the back of the cd player. Start there....if nothing then bring it to a professional. I see this all the time when people who arent audio installers try to "do it yourself" and cant figure it out. good luck

What vehicle are you putting this into? Did you cut the pluf off of the factory harness or do you have the adapter plug that plugs into the factory harness plug? If you cut the factory harness plug off did you cut them one at a time or did you just start cutting away? On any aftermarket radio the red wire is the ignition source and the yellow is the constant power source. I see you wrote orange was constant. Sounds like a GM vehicle? Anyways Check all of your fuses inside the vehicle and under the hood. CHECK ALL OF THEM NOT JUST THE ONES LABELED AUDO! If you need anything else hit me up through my myspace link and I will help the best I can without being there
