89 dash bez removal

Can anyone tell me how the 89 toy dash bezel the usually black plastic part of the dash is removed? thanks

two screws on the underside top of the bezel and pull gently. What exactly are you trying to do?

everytime ive had to take it apart (have it down to a 5 minute science) i drop the glove box via its few screws, both kick panels, the ignition surround, the lower part under the driver side of the dash, and those panels, then you can pop the man part you are talking about off. its actually 2 parts, the interior colored outer part and the almost always black center. they look good with the center painted and the rest all wrapped. its pretty simple. you putting an sr5 cluster in of something?

sr5 is a direct swap. make sure the retard lights have bulbs behind all the ones your truck needs. same sockets for both styles. just swap the oil pressure switch that ops the low pres light to a sending unit for the gauge. and make sure you get an 89-91 pickup or 90-91 4runner unit, since they are mech speedo like yours. 92-95 are electric. and make sure its a 22re or v6, whichever you have.

what if mine is a 22r?

same thing. 89-91 4 cylinder cluster. or 90-01 4runer. i have one if you need it. its apart, its my extra parts cluster. shouldnt be too hard to find it used locally or on ebay.
