s10 rear end to blazer rear end

hey everyone. i have my 96 dime and i am going over it again for this coming show season. talked with a guy at the indy truck bash this past year who had disc brakes in the rear end of his truck, all he said he did was get a blazer rear end and bam, there ya go. so i went and got a blazer rear end and got home and it is about 5 inches longer than my s10 drum rear end. now can i just swap out the axles or do i need to shorten it, any and all help is appreciated on this one guys. thanks in advance.

You probably got a 4x4 rear and needed a 2wd?

Swapping out the axles isnt going to help you since the housing is still going to be too long.

just un bolt all the brake stuff off the new rear and bolt it on your truck rear it all interchanges. its a bolt on deal if you just use your rear and all the brake hardware from the disc rear
