Ok, so I'm having an issue with the column, I want to fix my turn signal lever/switch as when I signal left, the lever stays in its position the blinker flashers and all is good, when I signal right, I have to hold it in place for the blinker to work, or it springs back to the center position. Well I have also had a short in the horn as well. Some times the horn works fine, other times I have to wiggle the steering wheel and then the horn works, also from time to time my wipers dont want to work when I turn them on via turn signal lever. Also that wonderful high pitched beep that usually comes on with the key in the ign. also is flaky, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Now here comes the fun part. The colum is not the original column for this truck. My fire wall has 3 locations to bolt the colum to it, and the column has 4 locations to bolt to the inner fire wall. So my question is, does it sound like there is a short in the column wiring to cause the electircal issues? if so is it easy to fix, or do I have to replace all the switches in the column? I'm temped to go bone yard hopping and see if I can find a proper column, and just replace the lock cylinder.

Opinions please as this is driving me nuts at this point.
