The sway bar you just take off..

To remove the strut rod you could triangulate the arm, making it into an A-arm.

However, this isn't really necessary on a Mazda. The strut rods don't hit anything or bind unless you're going up to 20s.

Or something like this would work too:

I make these for mazda's only they use the S-10 lower balljoint for 2" drop spindles. You knock out the lower control arm bushings in the frame and the crossshafts slide in and weld in place. Viola, no more strut rods.

I charge $500.00 for a set of uppers and lowers in a raw steel finish with new bushings. I can make just uppers or lowers only for $250.00 a set if thats all you need. I can buy and press in new lower balljoints, at an extra cost, if you want but 2" drop spindles come with new S-10 balljoints and you'll have to take them somewhere to have them pressed in.

^ Those are cooler than a triangulated arm. Damn good price too.

Hey Chris, I was looking at the pic of your control arms and had a couple of questions about them. Are you shortening them to compensate for the extra 1/2" or so that the drop spindle pushes the wheel out and are the lower balljoint cups angled so they will lay on a wheel over 18"? I have a set of Cando arms on a truck in my shop right now and my they would need to be tweaked a bit to lay on a wheel larger than 18"(the lower balljoint is bound when it lays on 18's now) Just curious, you're arms look really good btw, good pricing too.
