I asked this a long time ago and can't really remember the answers I got back. But all im putting in is a very lightly modded 305 as in k&n filter and a exhaust, will be stock rear end be able to take the power of the motor? Im not gonna be doing the stand still and punch it bullshit or burn outs because I like not getting fines Pretty much as an everyday driven vehicle will the stock mazda rear end be up for the drive?

I dont see why it wouldnt hold up. If your just driving every day like you would with a mazda motor it will hold up. But I dont know about burn offs and shit like that. If you wanted to convert it, you could go with a stock toyota rear end, i know they will hold up fine.

you will be fine until it hooks. In other words, on a mazda rear, you will be good. Even if you do a burnout, until it suddely get's power and the tires catch. And if you were to swap to a toyota rear, you'd have to swap in a 4wd one, as the 2wd stuff has a different lug pattern. But the toy is the strongest mini rear out there. 2wd and 4wd. But as long as you aren't constantly doing burnouts you will be good even with the mazda unit.
