ok, anyone know how or have a diagram on how to get the door wondows out after u get the door panels off? also, why would gm pop rivet the ex cab windows? i need help asap. please

1 bump for da road...... im getting these windows tomorrow...anyone ever take em out?

pull the front and rear tracks (bolted to the door) tilt the window till it comes off the rear of the regulator, then tilt it the other way to get it off the front of the regulator. Then turn it 60 degrees or so and slip up and out past the outside of the upper door frame.

The ext cab windows are not pop riveted in, there are screws behind the panels/covers.

^^^thanks, that helps me out. u said pull the front/rear tracks? just unbolt em or stright up pull on it? thanks for the help.are they easy to put back in my truck?

just as easy to take out as you put them in. you probably will have to take out the belt mouldings.

You just have to play with the angles a bit once the tracks are out you should have no problem.

And the ext cab windows are riveted in, I just had to pull mine out and reinstall them for paint and there are like 5 or 7 per window. just drill em out. It's not hard.

did you use rivets to put it back in or did you use something else because I could not find any rivets big enough to hold it in

A large hammer will get her out no im not saying in how many pieces but it will come out. Hope this helps greatly

yea, i got em out. as for the ex cab windows, i found some rivets big enough... just keep looking. everything turned out good. later
