Max, I made a post in the Dodge section but no bites. I'm picking up an 88 D50 extended cab as soon as I get back from Iraq. I've had my lil bro to help me with the Ranger. But now I'm going to be taking this on with the help of some buddies. I'm looking forward to designing it, cutting it, and laying it out...then let my buddy weld it up. I know we can do it. Ok, so questions...What tubing do you suggest? 2x3? and what thickness. Also, I've noticed the control arms are completely different from the Ranger. But not like a torsion bar truck. But notice all those import trucks are very similar. How arms off another truck? I like the tubular control arms for looks over a pie cut factory upper arm. The lower arm looks a little retarded with that link on it. Sorry so long but any suggestions would help me with my first "Import" mini!

I like 2x3 .188 under the cab. The rest of it is use .120 wall tube for.

As for bagging the front, check out MT Magazines site, they have a good write up on bagging the front of these trucks. I don't think anyone makes control arms for these trucks, but there are plenty of people here perfectly capable of building you some badass arms.

Seth is right, about the tubing and MT mags. MiniTruckin' has been following the build on Ernie's Mitsu and there is a lot of good info there for bastard trucks. As for after market parts... good luck. You will most likely have to have anything you need custom built.

I appreciate it guys. Now if I can get the hell out of Iraq, and let my "allowance" build up!
