what do you use? compression or push fittings. i have never used compression or push fittings. i have always used rubber hose with clamps. what are pros and cons? i am putting air cylinders on a civic using 3/8 line and valves but dont know what fittings to use.

its just folks preference. but i like PTC fittings personally. lil expensive but easy to use. theyre "dummy" friendly i guess u could say. u just push the air line in until it bottoms out then pull back.

how about "d.o.t." rated vs ones that are not. i got some fittings from work where we run 200 psi 24/7 with no probs. but they are not dot rated.

i mix and match. all of my fittings are from home depot. knock on wood no problems so far (6 years).

I have ptc everywhere except for on top of my bags, which are compression. I have a small leak, but guess where its coming from, the compression fittings
