how can i get rid of the bad bump steer from my 99taco? its bagged(i have to rid at full hight for a somewhat decent ride) 18" wheels, ball joints are flipped, stock arms, ( i hate the rack and pinin steering on this truck)

first, there are more than 2 threads already discussing the bump steer issues with tacos. Second, you shouldnt have bad bumpsteer with just an 18, people run 18s all day long. try lifting it to ride height and align it there. still have problems then look into either biocustomz spindles for it or raise the rack n pinion a good 3/4 of an inch...good luck

...wasnt trying to be an ass. And I dont need pics to know what you are talking about. I have a tacoma on 20s, and it HAD the biggest bump steer probs I have ever seen. After working with BioMax and a little bit of $$$ the problems were fixed. I am assuming you bought this truck already bagged and the work sucks, as for that dude just fix one thing at a time and make it the last time its done. my truck has been bagged 3 times, some trucks just dont get the luxury of being done once in a badass shop and 20k poured into them. sometimes you gotta make best of what you have. any damn way, i have had two tacomas, and dealt with the suspension alot. If you need help IM me

It is when a bump in the road causes the vehicle to turn on its own. It has to do with the steering geometry. As the suspension moves up the tie rod will pull the wheel in or push it out. And when the other wheel is not being affected the same way it creates a jerky feeling.

So in short terms, you hit a bump and the truck steers itself.
