i have a 95 chevy with a 6.5 turbo but have problems with my heat. when i bought the truck the heat only worked when you had it on high and then the other day it stopped but messing with the knobs it came back on then that night it quit and hasnt worked since. i picked up another conrtol panel from a friends surburban and still not working. where should i start looking, i wouldnt think its the blower motor seeing it worked on high only before and came back after messing with the knobs? but my not sure, hoping someone has also had this problem and could give me some helpful info! thank you!

The original problem of only working on the high setting is almost always the blower motor resistor going bad. It goes bad for a number of reasons but usually because the blower motor itself is going bad and drawing too much power; blows a fuse built into the resistor assembly.

Now that it's quit entirely, probably blower motor finally went, or one of the connections has burnt up - power at the blower motor, power supply to the harness (under dash near passenger side of firewall), or at the fan switch.

so i picked up a blower motor and when i took the old one out i tested it and it worked then i found the reley wasnt working so i changed the reley and returned the blower motor now im back too working on just high, should i replace the motor still?

The usual suspect with "fan works on high but no other speeds" = blower motor resistor. But like I said, it usually goes out because the blower motor is pulling too much current, going bad. So it's up to you. Replace the resistor and hang onto your existing motor, might work for who knows how long - or replace 'em both.
