my buddy is doing a 4 link on his yota and he did a smiliar tri angled 4 link but ppl say his uppers need to be faced inward but will it matter? heres a pic of his setup

He will need a panhard bar or something similar if he keeps the bars like that, thats not even cloe to enough triangulation. He needs to move both upper bars to the center of the axle over the differential, but even then Id be worried, because the bars are so long it may not be tri enough there either, but it would be way better.

there need to be a min. of 30 deg.of triangulation

if hes gung hoe about not putting the links on top of the pumpkin then have him triagulate them in on the frame atleast 30 degrees and your good to go

i just looked at it again and looks like he used the long bars for the straight bars and the short ones for the triangulated ones. He needs to use the long ones for triangulation because they will shorten up once you put them at 30 degrees, you want each link to be the same length over all

^^^ I keep hearing that.

It's not a big deal to have the upper and lower the bars different lengths. He does need to have a LOT more triangulation tho. At this point, a properly set up pannard bar would probably be the best way to go about fixing it. Otherwise, he's gonna have some figuring to do to get enough triangulation with the long bars that he has.
