I just bought an 88 s10 2.5l and the man I bought it from said that he had just replaced the head gasket. I have oil in my coolant and have no idea what this is from, I check the oil and there appears to be no water in the oil.. anybody got an answer for this?

flush out the radiator & see if it does it again. might be left over from when he replaced the gasket

X2. if he replaced the head gasket and didnt flush the rad it would still be there. either that or the head is cracked. my old truck had a blown head gasket and only had oil in the water.

TRUE OR IF ITS STILL THERE, POSSIBLY BLOWN HEAD GASKET.

or bent head, find out if he had the head resrufaced or not. steel and aluminum heads can warp when a head gasket blows.
