so my roomate has a 861/2 hardbody he is building,he has a rci tank in it.so he has to run a different fuel pump on it ,, the stock one apparently wont work or ??

he is saying he needs atleast 90 psi to his injectors on it to get it running smoothly and all that good stuff.

what are all you z24 guys running for a fuel pump on your engines ???

..btw its completly stock....

and how simple is a 240 intake swap out on those ?? they worth it or just better getting a weber set up??

ahead of time thanks guys !!!

you dont need 90psi.. i think its in the 40's, but i might of looked wrong, my book is at the shop.

measure the dept of your stock one and the depot of your rci tank and let us know, b/c i might do that swap. if it doesnt fit then there is always the external msd pump for 100 that supports up to 500 hp.

240 is the KA motor, the z24 is not. unless there was an older then 88 240 and it had a z motor, then the ka intake doesnt fit.

not sure.. b/c i know the 240 intake (88-89) bolts to the KA24e motor that comes in the 90-97 hardbodies.. the KA24DE 240 intake (90-96) bolts to the KA24DE in the frontiers

wow that's hard to understand.. sorry.

you asked if the stock pump works in the RCI fuel cell, right? I am not sure, its a matter of how deep is the fuel pump/sending unit combo? and measure how deep the fuel cell is.. if it fits, then yes, it will work if you cut a hole and make a gasket.

sorry that may have been a lil confusing

he has no pump in it now,,

he toasted tha 350z pump..

i need to know what other ones work instead of another 150 bones for that stock one.

this is my last post for the month.. but i will say.

150 for a factory replacement is cheap.. you can find one from a junkyard, that is really your best best, that will still allow the sending unit to work.
