im gonna section my oil pan and need to know will the loss of space matter with lossing some oil...will this damage the motor

also need some help with the pickup tube and one got pics and could tell me the best way to shorten it

You don't need to shorten the pickup tube. It only sits in the second sump. Just remove the third sump. You loose .3 quart capacity. You can build a sump into it like a Moroso oil pan and keep stock oil capacity, or even gain some.

here's mine for my isuzu. i had the lowest sump removed and then added on to the side. it now has more capacity then stock and doesn't drag anymore. i had to shorten my pickup tube too. all we did was heat it up with a torch, then pull the basket off, cut it the tube, then tacked it back on.

Props on that oil pan Freak/Cade, it looks great. I like the wings for extra oil capacity, always wanted to try making one like that myself.

i had to take more then the 3rd out i had to take a inch out of the whole thing from the 2nd down and use the stock 3rd sump for the drain...will this work or will i need more space ....whats the best way to shorten the pickup tube

anyone know of something i could coat the inside or out side in to make sure i have no leaks ...i have welded it up the best i can and fill it with water and it seeps threw some spots will the oil do the same?
