No the initial clearence was about a 1/32" away from the load spring, I took the load spring out and rebuilt the leaf packs. After doing so I had about an 1/16", that I felt was still too close and the wheels would rub on the leafs when the frame would twist and flex. I bought some 1/4" spacers/shims from the off road shop and spaced them out another 1/4". This gave me plenty of room now and have had no issues since. The only shitter to the SRW axle is that the studs are a little short for this. Thread locker will insure no issues, thinking of saftey wiring them when torqued. BTW SRW 3/4 ton specific has the same dimensions (length) as the 1 ton SRW axle , however the axle tube diameter is far smaller. 1 ton DRW brakes work on this just fine with a little mod. After doing this with the leafs, I realized I has left with a heavy half ton dually. Gonna fab up some brackets and lift arms and some sort of Cantilever lift setup, try to match the load carrying ability of the newer 1ton's. The parts truck has the rear sway bar on it so I will putting this on it as well.
