I've been approched about bagging a 64 C-10. Just trying to get my head around the job before I give the dude a cost. He wants lay out on 20's. I'm guessing the rear is just the usual story, but what about the front? Is a Z neccessary? Control arms? Also will the gas tank need relocating? Thanks for any help in advance!

The front will need to be "z"ed if you want it to lay. Control arms shouldn't be necessary on 20. I am not sure, but the tank may be behind the seat.

Yes the front needs to be z'ed 2 1/2" inches to lay evenlly on a 20 I would do any more of a z and cut the bottom of the frame off like some have because u will have more of a severe angle on getting the steering linkage to bolt back up. Control arms arent necessary i just ran 2" drop spindles on mine from early classic. I still don't like the idea of the tank behind the front seat. The rest is straight forward just like a 4 link in any other truck. You can use the trailing arms for a two link if u wish but thats your call. They have some pics up of this process on www.itsraw.com under projects. Hope all of that made sense. Now start doing some
