Tacoma stepside rear axle

I have a 2000 Toyota Tacoma stepside and I am planning on bagging it soon. My question is to lay frame on 17x8 wheels. Do I need to swap to a older toyota rear axle since they are shorter or have my axle shortened. If you have any experience with the stepside tacomas. Thanks Max or any other help that is given from someone else.

Laying frame you shouldn't have any issues.

I don't have any experience with the step sides, but I would have to agree with Seth on this one.

Cool thanks a lot guy's. I didn't think it would be a problem I just thought I would ask it had been mentioned to me before. Even if it won't I'll swap to factory wheels till i can change something. Thanks again
