Hey everyone, I am in the process of installing an air cylinder setup On my civic but I have no had any luck finding a diagram on how the cylinders work. is it the same as bags? what about the holes at the top and bottom? can I run air to both holes? never messed with cylinders before so any help on this is appreciated and pics would be helpful too. also can I safely notch the lower rear arm so I can mount the cylinder at the lowest hole? want to go as low as possible. thanks.

ive put some on an accord a while ago, i just used the top hole and left the bottom one unplugged. you use the bottom one when your wanting to dog leg (lift the wheel off the ground, which will need more valves). if you just take a air nozzel from your compressor and blow air into the hole you will see a quick example of how it works before you install them. and im not sure about cutting the bracket without seeing it to know if it would be safe. hope this helps!

the bottom holes should be filtered so you dont get trash inside your cans

so I can run a total of 16 valves if I want full control of these cans, right? thats a shitload of switches. I've got 10 and ech individual is on the list so if I went with the larger switch for ecah individual could I use those switches as down and dog leg? be the same amount of valves per switch as with my front, back, or would I need the largest ones like for all up/ down? I want full control of these things so I guess I will need 8 more valves and more airline. am I thinking in the right direction? On the lower control arm I would only notch out a piece about the size of the mounting nut for the cylinder bracket (1/2" mabye) It looks like I will also need to move my towers up a bit to lay out so would 12 gauge steel be good for these unibodies? or would 14 be better? again I am new to laying out these cars so any help is useful to me. Also It has 13's on it right now but I want to go larger if I can but whats the smallest overall diameter tire I can go with? I'd be happy with 16's if I could get away with it but I think 17's would have a smaller overall diameter. I guess wheels will be after I finalize this air setup.

You don't need more switches, just the up controls the lift for the top of the can and the dump for the bottom of the can, and running valves on both ends of the can will stiffen up the ride a lot, I would suggest running an accumulator on the bottom port if you are going to run 16 valves.

how much will an accumulator affect my ride? decided against 16 valves for now. never ridden in an air cylinder car before so what am I in for? anything like hydros? I have those on my taco and it rides like a damn wagon. how much will this accumulator cost me and where is a good place to get it? can I use one for all four wheels or will I need two? don't have much room for tanks though. one 6 gallon pancake roght now in the spare tire hole. trunk is dominated by sub box for my 2 solobaric 15's. thanks for the help.
