Kind of a vague question. What is it going on? Did u buy a bolt on or a weld on 4 link? The best advice I can give u for the time being is to check this threade out and read it many times...lol we all have

There's different styles and no one single step by step because every set up is different, but the basic idea you gotta have is you want your lower bars and upper bars as long as possible, parallel to the ground at ride height, and also your pinion angle set at that height. The upper bars you want triangulated as far as possible but make sure they clear everything. A common method for the front mounts is a simple crossmember close to the cab.

Get a basic Idea of where everything will go, and where your mounting points will be.. and take measurements. From the center of each mounting point as where the tabs would be. You can order all 4 bars adjustable so that can compensate for a little error on that part.. but you want to keep as much adjustability both ways also for after everything is welded up and you might need to adjust the pinion slightly either way. You will also need to know where you want to mount the bags, if on the bars youll have to consider in spacing so the bags dont rub the frame.. and get square lower bars or gussets.

If you already have the 4-link then you're basically needing to kinda hold them in place to build your mounts/crossmember based on the lengths you already have..

The crossmember you make you can always build it to have some adjustment either way on the framerail, etc.. so that can compensate for any minor error once you actually have the bars and tabs you might notice something has to move slightly.. but this way you can move the crossmember back or forth, and/or adjust the bars.

Measure everything like 10 times, and tack in place and jack the rear up as high as a bag would move it.. and keep an eye on the pinion angle. Lay it out also and check.. Weld it all up..

the triangulation of the bars will keep it straight if thats what your asking.

You use a tape measure. And if you set your links up correctly the axle should stay fairly well centered. But it will never stay perfectly centered. Its just not possible with a 4-link and a solid axle.

A tape measure is your best method for getting it in there straight as Seth said above. The only thing I wouldn't recomend is scribing positioning marks with the stock leafs holding the axle. The reason I would recomend against this is that the rubber bushings in the leaf packs can detiorate over time and the holes can distort. This means that the axle may not be in 100% straight as it sits.
