heres whats done on my project grand am. bagged in front with 2600lb bags,"1 link",and soon to be alkot of tubin.
im workin on the rear now hgopin to have it rollin by tex mex,well trailered cuz the motor is blow lol.

these are the "struts"

tuckin a lil,but layin

how much room i have left and thats with a 26" wheel/tire combo

layin in the front,rear isnt done yet

im takin more pics shortly i lack a few welds for the front to be done then its onto the back. and i my plans are finish the unibody drop,swap the emgine for a supercharged 3.4 boneville motor,19" or 20" billet centerlines,shaved 3rd brake light all 4 doors,mirrors,03 grand prix GTP front end,raise the engine cradle 1 inch,and new paint.

That car has a Macpherson strut front end, right? What are you doing to locate the top of the strut? Did you add an upper control arm?
From the picture, it looks like the wheel would be able to just flop around...
Sorry if I'm not seeing something right!

yes its mac strut. im elimanatin the "wobble" plate that allows the wheel to stay on track by adding a "1 Link" the way im settin it up will stop it from floppin and allow camber adjustment. i will post pics of that maybe tommorow if i have that part finished.

and if that doesnt work right i will just use the factory wobble plate on top of the 2600 lb bag.

Hows it going to turn with no upper strut bearing?? If you mount the bag to the car then mount the strut to the bag there nothing for it to turn on..

there is a bearing on the top mount

oh.. from the look of the picture you were mounting the bag right to car.. I hope the one link works out for ya.. ill be watching this project..
