i like how easy copper is to bent and run but i love the way stainless looks but cost alot more and in result you have to use the swedge lock fitting witch cost an ass load. but a cheaper alternative is alluminium lines

Here's a question (to add to your question!):

Has anyone actually had a copper line break on their air system?
I've always been told not to use copper line in an automotive environment due to work hardening from drivetrain vibrations, but I've seen lots of copper on lots of rides and I've never actually seen a failure!
Has anyone else seen this happen?

I would use stainless because one day someone might steel the copper. I am in the HVAC industry and it is common to hear about copper being stolen.

I ran copper on mine, and it was dailied for 2 and a half years 365 days a year, salt snow rain, no problems at all. Copper is super easy to work with, just take your time and don't oblong the line, or it will never seal right. Stainless is much nicer to look at, but it costs a lot more, and is harder to work. Although stainless is good to like 3000 psi where-as copper in the same size (1/2 id) is only good to 640 or so. Either way I always liked to wax my copper when I installed it too...keeps the corrosion down to a bare minimum.
