need a welder

im looking in to buy a welder to bag and body drop my truck but i dont need a big one

look for all the other threads that have been done in the last two months about buying a damn welder.

I'd say go with the lincoln one from Home depot posted above. Its a 120v, has a gas regulator, its pretty versitile, and will bodydrop your truck just fine. I know some cover trucks built with old flux core welders.

I just got a millermatic 135 its great.

that looks like a good little welder for the money. takes up to a 35 wire, which is pretty good sized for the frame parts. just crank it all the way up and have the edges chamfered (beveled) to enhance penetration on buttwelds (like frame z's).

If you are looking for a "Cheap" welder you could pick up a Hobart Handler 140 for under $500 and that comes with gas hookups.
