I've only got 2 doors not 4 but mine are on the alarm. No problems at all going on 4 years now daily driven...SPAL solenoids and Prestige alarm. I re-did all the wiring after my buddy installed them because he did shitty wiring that looked like it would fail. Funny thing is he did another truck like mine for a dude I know and that truck would blow the fuses every few times he opened the doors, mine have never done that.

BTW only twice I had to break into my truck because I had a battery with a dead cell, would go totally dead just randomly overnight. Didn't even literally "break in" just wedged the door and used the long rod to pop the hood and hook up the battery charger. Being a car snatcher has its advantages, got a break-in kit always at the ready.

I would devise a backup plan. A hidden jump point that puts power directly one of the solenoids if you ever have a battery problem.

Still wishing I could find that emergency pull cable that had a locking end on it so you couldn't pull it unless you had the key. Should have bought that shit years ago when I first saw it advertised.

Check out some of the AVS direct replacement locks with the solenoids built in them. They install easy and work great.

As for the fail safe system we use on shaved doors, I like to take the cable truck latch system on the trunks of cars and use them with a key cylinder hidden somewhere near the wheel well or you can use a simple gas door latch with the handle. Hardest part is snaking the cable through the door jamb and getting it to the location you want.

if you're lookin for someone to take it to for the install, or fixing whatever it is, then you cant go wrong with Chaotic Rods and Customs in Tomball.

give em a call and see what they have to say. they can prolly rig up some sort of remote/ back-up entry system for you too.
