so i bought a double din navigation for my 00 crown vic the only problem is that the air vents get in the way of the unit sitting properly in the stock radio location. basically the 2 vents in the center of the car a re connected together right where i want my navigation to sit. what i would like to do is cut away the piece that connects the vents together on the top and replace it with something that i can re route out of the way of my navigation so that the vents will still be connected together. can anyone recommend something i can use that is flexible and transfers air well that i can connect to my air vents so i can get my navigation to sit in the dash properly.

so you just want to ditch the center vent outlets and seal it off so it still gets to everything else?

you could cut the tube off, i assume it y's off towards them, and just put a bit of masking tape over it. then some fiberglass cloth and resin. or maybe some panel glue (3M has good shit) and glue a curved piece of styrene over the hole.

im trying to keep the center vents but relocate the piece that connects them together to a more convenient location.
